Building Blocks Learning Center

A place for personal attention.

With 25 student spots, Building Blocks at the West Side Career and Technical Center is singularly focused on prekindergarten and preparing children for elementary school. Small but mighty, some of the most important learning happens before kids enter kindergarten. We introduce children to academic settings by helping them learn to raise their hands, follow directions, and focus on the task at hand. Rooted in play-based activities, those lessons are much more likely to stick.

A place of opportunity.

We believe that all children should have access to quality early childhood education. Our center at West Side CTC is designed to do just that. Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts is a state-funded program that provides free half-day and full-day prekindergarten to eligible three- and four-year olds. Learn more about Pre-K Counts.
