Preschool Program Philosophy

Our preschool program is for children approaching their third birthday in the early fall of each academic year. It is designed to:

Guide children in following directions
Help them to manage their feelings and behaviors
Connect everyday activities and academic concepts
Instill pride in what they do and express themselves creatively

Building emotional intelligence.

Our preschool teachers lead by example and help children recognize when their emotions are in control, providing the tools to help them reestablish calm within themselves and each other. These problem-solving tools build their emotional intelligence, a sought after trait now and in their futures.

Building Blocks is certified by the PA Department of Human Services, Office of Child Development and Early Learning for infant to pre-K care. Preschool is also certified by the PA Department of Education.

We believe that preschoolers need to feel connected to their classroom, classmates, and teachers.
