At Building Blocks, we believe the early years are the most important in building a strong foundation for your child’s development and education. We employ 92 faculty, 28 staff, and 30 administrators. Our educators, daycare and child care services staff are focused on providing a nurturing, stimulating, and educational environment where children can reach their full potential. Our small classroom sizes allow us to give each child individual attention. The daycare and childcare programs at Building Blocks Learning Center are tailored to age groups and learning levels and designed to promote all aspects of development – academic, social, physical, and emotional. We realize the importance of a positive environment in empowering children. Our teachers and caregivers are highly qualified and dedicated to building a solid foundation that encourages each child to soar in our childcare and daycare programs.

Mission Statement
Building Blocks Learning Center combines learning experiences and structured play in a safe, healthy, positive, nurturing learning environment to foster the development of every child in our care. Our goal is to provide children with the care and instruction needed for personal and academic success.
Our Curriculum
Infant to Preschool
We use Frog Street’s early childhood programs, which offer a specific curriculum for every age and every stage of development from birth to age 5. The curriculum in our preschool, childcare, and daycare programs is built on four key cornerstones: early brain development research, intentional instruction, developmental learning domains, and social and emotional development emphasis.
Pre-K
Our educational based pre-k curriculum is tailored to meet each child’s need. Our staff stresses language, social and emotional, cognitive and physical development. Skill development is in the areas of the alphabet, print, vocabulary, and comprehension are a focus, as well as social interactions, critical thinking and creativity in solving child-sized problems, and the development of motor skills.
School-Aged
Our before and after school daycare, child care services, and Enrichment programs are aligned with all of our partnering school district curriculums and customized to a child’s progress and needs. Programs include STEM Projects, homework assistance, sports, and recreation.
All Programs
All of the Building Blocks Learning Centers have a set curriculum and structured activities every day - from daycare and childcare through preschool and Pre-K. Building Blocks is licensed by the PA Department of Human Services and Keystone STARS accredited.
